What information we collect

When you contact us through the website form, we collect:

Your phone number or WhatsApp number
Your email address
The service you are enquiring about
Your town or area
Any message you send us
Photos you choose to attach
Your answers to a few short questions about the job (for example size and condition)

We do not collect payment information through this website.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

Respond to your enquiry
Provide a guide price for your job
Arrange and complete the work you have requested

We do not sell, share or rent your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interests, specifically responding to enquiries you have chosen to send us (you tick a box on the form to confirm you are happy for us to contact you about your enquiry), and where a contract is entered into, on the basis of contract performance.

How long we keep your data

We keep your enquiry details for up to 2 years after your last contact with us. If a job is completed, we may retain basic records for up to 6 years for accounting purposes, as required by HMRC.

Cookies and analytics

This website may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the cookie banner on this site, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-party services

Enquiries sent through our website form, including any photos, are stored in a private Vercel Blob store that only we can access. Vercel hosts this website and our customer records.

We use Twilio to send text messages: an alert to us when your enquiry arrives and, if you gave a UK mobile number, one text to you confirming we received it. Twilio processes your name and number only to deliver those messages.

When we reply by WhatsApp or email, those messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) and Google under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal obligations)
Object to our processing of your data
Request a copy of your data in a portable format

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
