The maths nobody
does for you

You've been putting up with it for a while now. The kitchen that was fine when you moved in and now just looks tired. The front door the sun has faded. The garage that lets the whole front of the house down. And every time you think about sorting it, the same number stops you. A new kitchen is ten grand. A new door is over a thousand fitted. A new garage door is the best part of two.

So you leave it. Another year of not quite standing it.

Here's what nobody tells you. Your units, your door, your garage aren't damaged. They're sound. They just look wrong.

And you don't replace something sound. You refresh it. The same factory-grade coating used on cars and fitted-kitchen joinery, sprayed onto what you already own, for a fraction of tearing it out.

Kitchen cupboards Replace£8,000 to £15,000 Refreshfrom £1,995
uPVC front door Replace£1,000 to £1,500 Refreshfrom £375
Garage door Replacearound £1,700 Refreshfrom £375
All three together in one visit Replace£5,000 to £8,000 Refreshfrom £1,295

Five days of work at most, not five weeks of skips, fitters and dust. Do the whole frontage together and it is two days.

You were never choosing between putting up with it and spending ten grand. That was a false choice. This is the third option.

The whole front of your house

The Full Front Refresh

Garage door, front door and front window frames. Sprayed in one visit, by one person, in one colour scheme. The biggest change you can make to how your house looks from the road, and the cheapest way to buy it.

Refresh all three from £1,295 Two days on site
Replace all three £5,000–£8,000 Weeks of fitters, skips and mess
  • Garage door, single or double, in 2K direct-to-metal coating
  • Front door, both sides sprayed, all hardware masked
  • Window frames across the front elevation
  • One colour scheme from one mixed batch, so every surface matches
  • Written three-year exterior finish guarantee

Your garage door, your front door and your window frames all weathered at the same rate, in the same sun, for the same number of years. Doing one and leaving the other two is what makes a house look half-finished. It is priced below the sum of the parts because doing them in one visit saves a full day of masking and setting up, and that saving goes to you.

A fraction of ripping it out

Your units, door or garage are sound. They just look tired. Replacing them is thousands and weeks of mess. We refresh what you've got for a fraction, most jobs in a day.

It won't peel in a year

The real fear with a respray is a cheap job that flakes. Shellac primer and 2K industrial coating cure rock-hard, the same class of finish used on cars and factory joinery.

A price in an hour, not a home visit

Send three photos on WhatsApp. You get a real guide price back, usually within the hour. No salesman on your sofa, no obligation.

It's not damaged. You just can't
stand looking at it anymore.

That's the exact gap we fix, where ripping it out is overkill and living with it another year isn't an option. Kitchens, doors, garages, shopfronts, wardrobes and fences, brought back to factory-grade for a fraction of replacing them.

A resprayed garage door finished by ProFinish in RAL 6005 Moss Green satin, part of a full frontage refresh
From £1,295

The Full Front Refresh

Garage door, front door and front window frames, all in one visit. Replacing all three is £5,000 to £8,000. This is two days and a fraction of the cost.

Our best-value way to buy. Everything on the front of your house weathered together, so doing it together is cheaper per surface and the only way to guarantee the colours match. One mixed batch, one gun, one visit.

Anthracite grey, agate grey and deep navy are the most requested frontage colours. Any RAL or Farrow and Ball shade matched. See what is included.

From £1,995

Kitchen Cupboard Resprays

A new fitted kitchen is £8,000 to £15,000 and two to four weeks of upheaval. This keeps your units and takes five days.

Doors, drawer fronts and every removable panel come off the units and are sprayed separately in a sealed, dust-controlled enclosure. The fixed frames and gables cannot come off, so they are sprayed in place — same enclosure, same gun, same settings, same mixed batch of paint. That single-batch rule is the whole game: it is the only way to guarantee the frames and the doors end up the same colour and the same sheen. Nothing is brushed. Nothing is cut in by hand.

We prime with Zinsser BIN shellac, then finish with a 2K industrial topcoat. The same class of coating used in automotive and joinery finishing. That is why it does not peel.

Popular this year: sage green, warm navy, anthracite grey, cashmere. Any RAL or Farrow and Ball colour matched. Doors and drawer fronts only from £895. Full kitchens from £1,995.

uPVC Doors & Windows

A replacement composite door is £1,000 or more fitted, and new windows £350 to £950 each. If yours are sound, spraying gives you the new look without the new frames.

Sun-faded, yellowed or just ready for a change of colour? uPVC responds brilliantly to spray finishing. Doors, windows, French and bifolds. Full prep and masking included. Send photos for a guide price.

A new garage door averages around £1,700 fitted. A respray brings yours back for a fraction of that.

Give your garage door a sharp, even finish that lasts. Whether steel, aluminium or GRP, we assess the condition and apply suitable primers and topcoats for a clean kerb-appeal upgrade.

Shopfront Shutter Spraying

A replacement roller shutter is £1,000 to £2,500 installed, and your unit is shut while it goes in. A respray needs no shutdown and no replacement.

First impressions count for business. We respray roller shutters and shop frontages to a smart, professional finish.

Shed & Fence Refreshes

Replacing a 15 metre fence run is £1,200 to £2,000 installed. A spray refresh brings the timber you already have back to life for a small share of that.

Weathered, greyed or peeling timber? A spray-applied wood finish goes on faster, penetrates more evenly and protects better than brush or roller. Transforms the look of your garden.

"Jay sprayed our garden fencing and it looks completely refreshed. The amount of time it saved compared with brushing the whole fence was huge. He protected the surrounding areas carefully and left everything tidy afterwards."

Fitted Wardrobes & Furniture

New fitted wardrobes run £1,500 to £4,000 a run, and mean tearing out storage that works perfectly well. A respray changes the colour and leaves the joinery alone.

Renew fitted wardrobes, bookcases or bespoke furniture in any colour or finish. We mask, prep and spray in-situ where possible, minimising disruption and delivering a flawless result.

"Had our fitted wardrobes resprayed rather than changing them. The finish is incredibly smooth and has completely modernised the room. Great option if your wardrobes are still solid but you want a new look."

When a respray is the wrong answer

Every price on this page is set against the cost of replacing the thing instead, so it is only fair to say where replacing genuinely wins. We would rather talk you out of a job than take your money for one that will not last.

Your kitchen units have failed, not just dated. A respray renews the surface, not the structure. If the chipboard has swollen around the sink, if a carcass is water-damaged, or if the hinges no longer hold the doors straight, spraying the fronts will not fix any of that. Where the units underneath have gone, a new kitchen is the honest answer.

You want the layout changed. Moving the sink, adding an island, going to taller units, changing the drawer runs. That is a fitting job, not a spraying job. No coating moves where anything sits.

The door or window is broken rather than tired. A door that will not close square, a failed lock, or blown double glazing needs repairing or replacing first. We can spray a door that is sound and dated. We cannot spray a door that does not work.

The garage door is rusted through or the mechanism is going. Dents and scratches are our business and we can fill and flat them back. Panels that have corroded through, or springs and gears on the way out, are not a finish problem. Put the money into the door.

The timber is rotten. Rot does not come back. If a fence panel or a shed board is soft when you press it, that piece needs replacing. We can spray everything around it so the new and the old match.

If your job falls into any of these, we will say so when you send the photos, before you have paid anything and before we have booked a date. You get a straight answer either way. Happy customer, happy sprayer.

The ProFinish Kitchen System

Most painters brush the frames and spray the doors. We spray everything. Every frame, every panel, every edge. Done inside a sealed tent we build in your kitchen, so there is no mystery shop, no transit damage and no mismatched finish.

2K Industrial Coating

We finish every kitchen with a two-component polyurethane topcoat. The same class of coating used in automotive and high-end joinery finishing. It cures chemically hard, not just air-dry soft. That is why it does not peel when you clean it, knock it or live in it.

Most operators use single-pack cabinet paint from a decorator's merchant. It looks fine on day one. Ask them in two years how it is holding up.

Day 1

Strip, degrease, prep

Doors and drawer fronts come off and are labelled. We build the on-site poly spray tent. All surfaces are degreased, cleaned and sanded to key the substrate properly. Masking goes on the frames and surrounding kitchen.

Day 2

Shellac primer

Zinsser BIN shellac primer is applied to all surfaces including the in-situ frames. Shellac bonds to anything and seals the substrate completely. Left to cure overnight.

Day 3

Denib and first topcoat

Primer is lightly sanded to knock back any dust nibs. First 2K topcoat is applied to all surfaces. Left to cure.

Day 4

Second topcoat

Second 2K topcoat applied within the recoat window for a chemical bond between layers. No sanding required at this stage. The finish builds its full hardness as it cures.

Day 5

Reinstall and hand over

Doors and drawers go back on in the right order. Tent and masking come down. Kitchen is cleaned up and handed back. We do a final check before we leave.

Why we are not the cheapest

You will see kitchens advertised from £999. That is doors only, sprayed in single-pack decorator's paint, with the frames brushed by hand. Ours covers every surface, so doors, drawers, frames and edges, in shellac primer and two coats of 2K industrial polyurethane, with proper cure time between every stage. It is the difference between a finish that lasts two years and one that lasts ten. Pay once. And if doors-only genuinely is all you need, we quote that honestly at £895 and tell you so.

Every price includes full preparation, professional masking, industrial-grade coatings and our written finish guarantee. We never quote blind - send photos and you will get an accurate figure before committing to anything. All prices shown are final - we are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add on top. Our minimum job value is £395: a single small item takes the same day of prep, masking and setting up as a large one.

A straight-talking
spray professional

I’m Jay, founder of ProFinish Spray Transformations. I trained as a spray technician on OEM automotive paint lines at Vauxhall Motors, working electrostatic spray systems to factory tolerances. I currently work with industrial 2K coatings in access-platform manufacturing. I set up ProFinish to bring that standard of prep and finish control to homes and businesses across Luton, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Every finish I've seen fail comes down to one thing: prep. Bad prep is why sprayed finishes peel, bubble and look patchy inside six months. Degreasing, sanding and priming properly isn’t something I rush or skip - it’s non-negotiable. It takes longer, but it’s the reason the finish holds.

I'm not here to sell you something you don't need. If a job isn't suitable for spraying, I'll tell you. If the condition of a surface means I can't get the result I'd be happy with, I'd rather have that conversation upfront than disappoint you later. Send me photos, I'll give you an honest opinion.
