We resprayed a faded up-and-over garage door in Bletchley in RAL 6005 Moss Green. The door was cleaned, degreased, keyed and sprayed in place using Bradite One Can, with the surrounding area masked. The original door and its existing dents were retained.
That job is typical of the area. A lot of Milton Keynes housing, from the older ex-railway streets around Old Bletchley and Fenny Stratford to the 1970s and 1980s grid-square estates out toward Water Eaton and West Bletchley, has garage doors where the mechanism is completely sound but the colour has chalked and faded on the south-facing side. Replacing a working door to fix a colour problem is an expensive way to solve it. A respray restores it in a day, and you are not limited to whatever three colours the door supplier stocks.

Mask and prep
Brickwork, drive, frame and any glazing are fully masked. The door is washed, degreased and keyed back so the coating has something to bond to. Chalked and flaking areas are taken back properly rather than sprayed over.

Any RAL colour, in matt, satin or gloss. Anthracite RAL 7016 is the most requested, but deeper colours like the RAL 6005 Moss Green we sprayed in Bletchley work particularly well against red brick.
